It explores the parts of human experience that resist optimisation: meaning, emotion, identity, spirituality, memory, intimacy and creative expression.

THE QUESTIONS
The project exists alongside Jessica de Paiva's technological work rather than beneath it. Where Known Systems examines how complex systems can become more accountable, It Matters Still asks a different question: what should remain outside the system? The platform provides a space for music collaborations, literary work, cultural projects, creative experimentation and conversations with artists, writers, producers, coaches and other practitioners whose work examines the human condition.
